By minimizing dirt penetration, Stoneprotect SP5000 significantly reduces the need for time-consuming and expensive constant pressure washing. On horizontal surfaces like garage driveways, the visible effect may be less and last for a shorter time than on vertical surfaces, where it has been observed to last for up to 8 years.

Stoneprotect SP5000 can be applied on top of an existing sealer, as long as the previous sealing was also done with Stoneprotect. If third-party products have been used, these must first be completely removed to ensure proper bonding. The sealer can also be applied to open-pored, absorbent unsealed facade surfaces, including plaster facades.

One liter of Stoneprotect SP5000 covers approximately 80 to 120 sq ft (10 to 12 sq m) of concrete stone, and the sealer can be reapplied at any time if the visible effect on the surface wears off. The sealant inside the stone will remain fully effective, even if the visible lotus effect is no longer recognizable.

Stoneprotect SP5000 is not an algaecide and does not remove green deposits, moss, or algae from the stone. Before applying SP5000, you can treat concrete and stones with a suitable anti-green, anti-algae product and then apply the sealer on top.

To apply Stoneprotect SP5000, the surface must be free of old sealants, grease, dust, and dirt, and allowed to dry thoroughly. The sealer can be applied by roller, brush, or sprayer, and should soak deep into the surface. Any excess liquid should be removed from the surface before the 30-45 minute drying time.

After drying, the surface is immediately usable and walkable. The effect can be tested by placing a few water drops on the sealed and dried surface, which should remain on the surface and not be absorbed into the stone. If the effect is not yet optimal, the application steps can be repeated to enhance the results.
